At the Integration Project, we are dedicated to offering ethical and safe care, rooted in rigorous professional training. Our team has been formally educated in Western psychology at globally recognized institutions and has over 30 years of combined experience in shamanic practices from the Peruvian Amazon.
This unique blend of expertise enables us to fuse the best elements of both traditions into a holistic healing system that addresses the soul, psyche, and spirit.
Carlos Hernandez is a transpersonal psychotherapist licensed in Mexico, specializing in non-ordinary states of consciousness within therapeutic settings since 2006. In his early twenties, he trained under renowned figures Stanislav Grof and Tav Sparks, becoming one of the youngest certified facilitators of Holotropic Breathwork. He later worked with the staff of trainers for the Grof Transpersonal Training program in the USA.
Carlos deepened his expertise by completing a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, in 2008. In 2006 he began training with a Peruvian shaman in Iquitos, Peru. From 2008 to 2010, Carlos lived and worked at a healing center in the Amazon forest near Iquitos, where he offered his services as a professional counselor, breathwork facilitator, and an apprentice ayahuasquero. In 2019, Carlos training culminated in his graduation after more than a decade of training.
In 2022, he further specialized in psychedelic-assisted therapies through a post-graduate program at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
Carlos’s latest passion lies in the realm of vibrational healing, particularly through the practice of biomagnetism. This method approaches healing as a holistic, multidimensional experience, bridging the transpersonal with the physical. By delving into the energetic roots of ailments, Carlos’ work not only addresses the symptoms but also connects to the deeper, often unseen causes of distress, facilitating profound and lasting healing. He is deeply committed to the practices of vibrational healing, breathwork, prayer, and the use of ancestral medicines.
Carlos has guided both groups and individuals on their healing journeys through non-ordinary states of consciousness since 2006. He currently runs a healing practice for individuals and groups in Cape Town, South Africa, and also offers online sessions to clients worldwide.
Elizma is a licensed psychologist registered in Mexico, that began her academic journey at the University of Stellenbosch near Cape Town, South Africa with Bachelors and Honours degrees in Psychology, in 2001. She completed her professional training with a Master’s degree in somatic psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, USA, in 2009.
Following her graduation, Elizma immersed herself in the Amazon forest in Peru, where she learned about the ritual use of Ayahuasca from traditional healers (curanderos/ayahuasqueros). It was during this time that she saw participants healing faster and with more depth compared to treatment with western models of psychotherapy. This experience sparked an intense personal and professional curiosity in her that changed the course of her life and work. This marked the beginning of her decade-long apprenticeship in Amazonian traditional healing arts that culminated in her graduation in 2019. In 2022, she furthered her expertise by obtaining a post-graduate specialization in psychedelic-assisted therapies at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute in Boulder, Colorado, USA.
Elizma currently operates a wellness coaching practice, working with individuals, couples, and groups both online and in-person in Cape Town, South Africa.
